To sum up Hafan Pwllheli Marina and Pwllheli town: they’re ok. The marina is nice, secure, once into the harbor entry it’s easy to navigate. Berths are all occupied by tenants so visitor mooring relies on boats away or not yet launched. The staff are very nice, responsive, and we secured a spot side-tied to a main pier. We’re 16m long so not a lot of options but they found us a good spot. There is really nothing at the marina other than standard services (nice showers, toilets, laundry) so a walk to town of 20min is needed for restaurants and groceries. I would love to say the marina and town are charming - but they’re not. They’re fine. But not a sought after destination or one you take photos to remind you of a special spot you visited. There are not many protected spots on this western coast so Pwllheli checks that box nicely - just don’t expect much more.
