NORREBORG HARBOUR - Norreborg harbour is a
cosy marina on the northern side of the island Ven.
From here you can enjoy panoramic views of the Danish
Gold Coast, Kronborg Castle, Kullaberg, Helsingborg
and to the east the hills of Glumslöv, while enjoying a
salty swim from the sandy beach or the jetty.
Less than 1 km away, you can tee off on Ven’s 9-hole
golf course, or why not try the locally produced Hven
Whisky or Hven Gin at the nearby Backafallsbyn’s Bar.
Norreborg harbour is located on the SkĂĄneleden
trail, which takes around this stunning island of Ven
to see “the Backafall”, The Old Church, artists, Tycho
Brahe Museum, the farm Museum Nämndemansgården
and vast durum wheat fields. You can either rent a bike
on the island if you are in a hurry or walk.
The island’s has a fully equipped Store, open
year-round, as well as several restaurants within 2 km
from the harbour.
Norreborg harbour was built in the 1880s as a shipping
port for the brickworks then located close to the harbour. At that time, many of the splendid houses in
Copenhagen were built with bricks from Ven. You can
still see brick remains from that time on the beaches
near the harbour.
