Great new harbor with the nicest facilities in Norway. The sauna and hot tub are incredible, and the shower facilities are those of a five star resort, not a typical guest harbor.

The entrance to the harbor is on the narrow side, but manageable in an 8,5 meter wide catamaran. The rocks do stick out a bit from the south breakwater.

There is space for larger (15m+) vessels, but it is probably necessary to coordinate with the resort before arriving.

Docks are clean, new and very solid. Very nice!

Good holding in sand. Dropped anchor in 4 meters towards SW corner of anchorage. Could also anchor deeper if necessary. Lots of options depending on wind direction. I noticed some large iron tie off points further west amongst the small islands for shorelines.

The anchorage itself is well protected, but entrances can be exposed to swell. I imagine some swell could make it all the way into the anchorage as well, if conditions were “just right”

Arrived in the dark and found good holding in 7m of water (sand). Light winds from the NE (approx. 5 m/s), with some (very minor) gusts coming through the small valley to the E of the boat. Closer to the beach looks more calm, but we didn’t want to trust the chart too much in the dark, so we kept our distance.

In the right conditions this is a wonderful anchorage, but it is exposed to the SW. I would not want to be here on the wrong day.

Also a nice access point for hiking to the summit of Lovund.
