Sørvågen provides good protection from southerly or easterly winds, but poor protection from westerly winds. Fine rock formations to moor against. Short distance up to the church and the rectory.

Vågsetervågen is a good natural harbor that provides good protection. It is shallow at the entrance in the west between Langholmen and the mainland, so enter between Langholmen and Grasholmen or follow the sea marks and proceed between Grasholmen and Kuholmen.

It is nice to anchor off Solemsøya. Further into the fjord, it is also nice to lie at anchor.
