Really dramatic anchorage, there is also a small pontoon for visiting boats/yachts. We anchored north of small island in 6 meters. We draw 1.7m. Mud and sand, good holding, calm night, no winds.
Pretty challenging but well defined climb up to the peak of Hesten Norge, don’t forget midge repellent if climbing in evening! If you’re a bit wobbly bring a hiking stick and wear decent walking shoes/boots. Fantastic views over harbour, surrounding islands and further in to mainland Norway.

Innseiling og maritime forhold: Øya Alden er godt synlig, med toppen som rager høyt over alle omkringliggende øyer. Alden kalles også for Norskehesten.
Ankring: Flytebrygge med plass til 3-5 båter og god dybde for seilbåter.
Den gamle kaia med bildekk anløpes sporadisk av skyssbåt.
Det er mulig å ankre flere steder i bukta. Vindstyrke og vindretning kan være uforutsikbar på grunn av det høye fjellet og fallvinder.
Området: Havna er et flott utgangspunkt for en tur opp til toppen av Alden. En middels krevende tur på ca 3km opp til toppen på 480m.
