Ålesøya : En perle av ett sted. Innseiling grei som beskrevet og som sjøkart. Fin sandbunn med ok feste. Bra svaidybde og gode dybder mot flere av oppsatte bolter. Ingen bølger, ellers samme vind som på utsiden.

Sandbanke nord om Brattholmen, så hold trygg avstand. Vi fikk godt dreggfeste og nose in, og så andre på svai som satt godt. Så også igjen andre som prøvde med svai og ikke fikk feste. Etter beste skjønn sandbunn og litt løs så her må godt med lengde/kjetting og godt/stort anker til. Har gått hele syd vest og nord vest av bukta og oppdatert markeringen av bolter i kartet. Ca halvparten av disse er egnet også for seilbåt.

Approach and maritime conditions: Ålesøya is situated well out in the archipelago approximately 3 nm NE of Lillesand. Beautiful lagoon with an entrance from the SW. Be aware of two shoals in the approach, and keep toward Åkesøya. These are marked on the nautical chart.

The surrounding islands are low and therefore do not provide much shelter in strong winds, but there are no waves in the lagoon.
Anchoring: Many possibilities to moor bow-to-land. Swing room at 7-8 m depth in the lagoon.
