Approach and maritime conditions: West in the Søgnreskjærgården, between Mandal and Hølen. Easy approach south of Fugløy, also possible north of Fugløy. Some cabins, docks by the cove. Open towards the southeast, otherwise sheltered.
Anchoring: Bolts on land. 10 m. Mud bottom, good holding.

Approach and maritime conditions: Ålesøya is situated well out in the archipelago approximately 3 nm NE of Lillesand. Beautiful lagoon with an entrance from the SW. Be aware of two shoals in the approach, and keep toward Åkesøya. These are marked on the nautical chart.
The surrounding islands are low and therefore do not provide much shelter in strong winds, but there are no waves in the lagoon.
Anchoring: Many possibilities to moor bow-to-land. Swing room at 7-8 m depth in the lagoon.
