description
The marina is very protected far inside the Bouregreg river. It's a good quality marina and very safe (since the king is keeping his boats there which are guarded) and resonable priced. It's a great location in the pittoresque village of Salé, and close to Rabat which is a great town to explore. You can walk to the train station which brings you directly to all major cities in Morocco.
Attention! The entrance to the Bouregreg river can be challeninging! Do not try it with more than 2 meter of swell, 1 meter is recommended. And mind the tide. For entering shortly after high tide, for leaving shortly before high tide, so that you have high water but a bit of current against you. There are two submerged walls which are not / poorly indicated. Use satellite image to double check. Once the castle on starboard passed, you're safe. There is a possibility to ask for a pilot from the marina, but if you do prepare yourself carefully it's absolutely feasible. Once you're in the river, call the marina and go to the waiting pontoon outside the marina for custom clearance (in Morocco, clearance has to be done in EVERY port!).

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 20 minutes ago (Thursday 24 July 01:16 AM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
The safe wind directions for this harbour has been decided by an algorithm, based on how elevated the land around the harbour is. It's mostly correct, but sometimes the underlying data about elevation levels is not good enough to make correct decisions. It's a great help to other if you can validate or adjust the safe wind directions. You can see the data used by the algorithm to decide the safe wind directions by clicking here.
The visits are retrieved from AIS data. You can click to see all visiting ships to Bouregreg Marina - Rabat, as well as statistics about the ships that visits
