Innseiling og maritime forhold: Gjestehavna ligger i havneløpet som går gjennom Brønnøysund, og er fint plassert midt i sentrum av byen. Enkel innseiling og adkomst. Vær oppmerksom på kommersiell trafikk. Lokale ferger og Hurtigruta anløper kaiene rett nord for gjestehavna.
Fortøying: Gjestehavna består av en større flytebrygge ytterst og to mindre innenfor. På innsiden av den ytre brygga fortøyer du i bås, ellers longside. Det er en del trafikk gjennom havneløpet i Brønnøysund, og du ligger bedre jo lenger inn du kommer. Det er dypt rundt alle bryggene, men seilbåter bør ikke gå for nærme steinoppbyggingen inn mot land og molo.
