description
This is the only harbour on Grimsey island. It's used for the ferry and fishing boats. Sailboats are welcome as the restricted space allows. I save spot to moor is on the end of the outer pier, so not to obstruct the ferry which arrives every day around noon. In heavy weather, or if space available, the harbourmaster will allow the boats to come to the inner harbour. Fee is 20€ per night.
The island is a great nature highlight. People are very friendly, and during summer times all island descendents spend their summer here, so there are a lot of kids. Occasionally, there are cruise ship anchoring in the bay and shiping tourists to the island, which then changes the scenery completely.
