If you choose to moor on the outside along the main channel, you will likely experience some traffic waves, especially during peak season. If you stay on the outside by the wooden docks, there are shallow areas that particularly larger sailboats need to watch out for. It is tempting to moor alongside there, but there are some rocky and shallow parts.

For those who like to sail off-season, Gullholmen Hamnkrog is open every weekend throughout the year for simple and good food and drinks.

Gullholmen is one of the finest gems on the Bohuslän coast. Gullholmen is a small island densely packed with small, old houses. A small bridge crosses a narrow strait to the larger Hermanö. Here lies the guest harbor. There are no cars here, and the place is a peaceful idyll. There are narrow paths between the well-maintained houses and jetties around the entire islet from which children swim. The children vacationing here must have a unique experience that they will remember as their best childhood memory.

In the harbor, there is an ice cream kiosk selling ice cream with homemade cones. The smell of freshly baked cones permeates the area, and there is always a long queue even though there are two other places nearby where you can buy ice cream. There is a restaurant in the harbor on an islet over the floating dock.

The harbor is well protected from all winds, especially westerly ones. The guest harbor is divided into two, each with its own entrance - one from the east and the other from the south. It is a popular harbor, so arrive early. There is electricity and water on the dock. In the harbor, there is also a grocery store, toilet, and shower.

About one kilometer further south on Hermanö, there is a swimming area, mini-golf, and a restaurant. Just west of the harbor, there is also a nice swimming area, but it is more exposed to the southwest wind.
