Innseiling og maritime forhold: Ikornnes ligger i neste fjord etter Hjørundfjorden på vei inn Storfjorden. På motsatt side av Ikornnes ligger Sykkylven og det går en bro mellom Sykkylven og Ikornnes. Innseilingen til Ikkornnes er veldig enkel og grei. Selve marinaen ligger rett nord for broen så man slipper å gå under den for å komme til marinaen, noe som gjør det enklere for seilbåter.
Fortøying: Fortøyning til flytebrygger som har vindskjerming mot nord. God dybde langs hele kaien.
Området: Ikornnes marina ligger like ved Ikornnes Friluftsbad som er et utendørs badeanlegg med oppvarmet vann. Temperaturen i bassengene ligger rundt 30 grader og er en populær plass blant både barn og unge. Like borte på kaien finnes Promenaden Mat & Vinhus som har åpent torsdag - søndag. Det er mye turterreng i området og det er godt tilrettelagt for å benytte sykkel for den som har med seg det. Det er flere grillplasser på kaia.
