Innseiling og maritime forhold: Løvøya ligger utenfor Horten. Her er det totalt fire bøyer som ligger på sørøst siden av Løvøya Om båten er lavere enn 2,8 meter kan du gå gjennom Løvøysundet. Er den høyere må du gå inn gjennom Vealøsrenna lenger sør.
Ankring: Ca 7m
Området: Løvøya er en populær øy rett nord for Horten sentrum. Her vil du overnatte sikkert i alle vindretninger. For å komme til Horten er det best med en lettbåt. Det går en kanal fra Horten verfsområde og til Fyllingen båthavn.Løvøysund er en kjent fiskeplass. Selve øya er et flott turområde med severdigheter som det gamle kapellet som ble bygget på 1300 tallet. Det var ved Løvøysund at Skageraks sjøhelt Tordenskjold fikk kjølhalt farttøyene sine
