The Coastal Culture Center is worth a visit. Great museum showcasing the history and biodiversity of Lovund. The latest addition to the museum in 2024 is the new building with the Lovund boat. This boat is dated to the Middle Ages, around 1460. The remnants of the boat were found where the bathing facility is now.
The harbor provides good protection against the sea, but there can be strong and unpredictable gusts of wind during gale conditions.

Lovund is a great place.
The approach might seem a bit unclear, with a 1-meter shoal marked on the chart right in the fairway, but we didn't find it. Pass by Novasea's facility and follow the well-marked channel before turning in towards the docks. There are several utility boats, including the rescue boat, before you reach the guest dock.
Short distance to a pub, pizza restaurant (not open on Mondays and Tuesdays even in the middle of the holiday season), café, and hotel with a very good restaurant. Joker store. The rescue boat is sometimes located right by the guest harbor.
Great outdoor swimming facility and wooden amphitheater 100m away from the guest harbor. Excellent for families with children.
There is a nature trail that leads up into the puffin cliffs (about 2 km) if you follow the road past the swimming area and turn right at the first intersection. Walk past the hotel and continue straight up the hill. The trail turns left just after the hilltop. Well-facilitated with info boards and stairs.

Approach and maritime conditions: Lovund's finest guest harbor. Here you can enjoy the midnight sun and swim in the heated sea bath.
