The area: Charming small streets with tiny cafes and galleries. Great for walking in the area. Nice beaches within walking distance or a short bus ride (Sandve). Good facilities in the guest harbour.
Visited the place on 22/6, no restaurants or cafes were open. Only Thai take away. The shower in the facility on the east side was closed due to vandalism, the one on the west side was clean and nice.

Approach and maritime conditions: Safely located at the innermost part of the harbor, but only 4 berths.
Mooring: Long floating dock, which was previously a guest harbor, but now taken over by local residents. According to one of the locals, there are only two berths on each side at the outer end that can be used as guest berths. However, there are no markings on the dock to confirm this.
The area: Convenience store is 10 minutes away.
Lofoten and Værøy Brygge Hotel, which also has space for a couple of guest boats outside, has been improved and serves incredibly good food. Definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic hiking opportunities. Håen in particular is recommended. Clear path from the road at the mountain where the tunnel starts. About 3 km from the harbor to the tunnel.

Approach and maritime conditions: Follow the markings in the approach carefully.
There is an outer pier/breakwater, and at the innermost part of the pier (outside), there are some rocks to watch out for if you have a deep draft. This pier is well-suited for sailboats.
Further in, there is a smaller guest pier which is also suitable for sailboats, as well as a diesel pier. At the latter, it is shallow (max 2.5 m) and there are also some rocks that those with deep drafts should watch out for at low tide.
150 NOK
Mooring: Floating docks and alongside mooring with bollards
and around the pier

The area: Located right by the World Heritage Center
Here you can rent bicycles
Bus connection to the Vega Stairs with departure in the morning
Open restaurant
It takes about 45 minutes of leisurely cycling on peaceful roads to Sundsvoll and Vega Stairs, which are really worth a visit.

Space for particular enthusiasts.
A hell of a racket around the clock, primarily from the ferry traffic and generators, but also full parties on the pier and surrounding area until late at night.

Approach and maritime conditions: Sørevågen is a solid and safe harbor on the south side of Utsira. Approaching from the south involves some unmarked shallows, so follow GPS. You are well sheltered from all wind directions.
Docking: Longside to a fixed quay (not a floating dock). Most of the guest spots are along the breakwater in the south. Toilet in the shed of Kystlaget Utsira.
The area: Utsira is Norway's smallest municipality and is located 14 nm west-southwest of Haugesund. It is a great destination for boat tourists. Close to Sørevågen, there is a small grocery store that sells local scampi. In Nordvikvågen, there is a cafe and pub.
Visited the place on 22/6 and was lucky to get a spot at Damsgård restaurant. What an experience. They have few tables and are only open a few days a week. Fantastic food..! Well worth a visit.

Navigation and maritime conditions: Måløy guest harbour has plenty of space, but the north wind is strong. It is a good waiting spot if you plan to round Stadt and the wind is not cooperating. Fuel is available at Måløy Båtservice across the strait, on the starboard side after you pass the bridge heading north.
Self-service at a small floating dock with good depths for sailboats.
KIWI (grocery store) is within a short walking distance from the harbour.

Included in the harbour fee is access to the sanitary building with showers, toilets, and washing machines. The latter must be paid for. Be quick in the shower, as the timed motion-sensitive light switch will turn off the shower rooms if no one moves in the room where the washing machines are...?!.

This outer harbour is an absolute favorite. Good holding ground in sand at 7m. Between the islets here, you lie safely regardless of the weather. Have stayed here in a southern gale without problems because the shallows and skerries south of the anchorage take away most of the swell that could build up in Andfjorden.

A pair of sea eagles live on the islets, and they have been seen every time we have anchored here over several years.

Approach and maritime conditions: Nice guest harbor with new piers compared to the image shown here. Dining place on the quay.
Docking: New concrete piers where you can dock longside (outside) or with stern mooring or in a slip on the inside. The approach to the inner part of the piers is close to shore past the fishery pier. If you have a deep draft, it is important to stay close to the floating pier as it was indicated that there are some shallows along the shore.
The area: Dining place on the quay. Some construction (June 21), so we did not find any service building.
Garbage can be disposed of in bins 100 meters up from the harbor.
Groceries at Coop Extra a couple of hundred meters down the road.

Heimøya can be a bit misleading when looking for the place by searching its name. The location is most commonly referred to as Sklinna lighthouse.
Three buoys at a good distance from each other make it possible for three boats to moor there simultaneously. Well marked and easy navigation.

Approach and Maritime Conditions: Simple approach, ample space and depth
Mooring: Floating dock, alongside mooring. Water and electricity.
Area: Nice path from the harbor to shops and downtown Fillan, about 1 km. Coastal museum located approximately 500 meters from the harbor.

Approach and maritime conditions: Easy approach, but pay close attention to the chart in the slalom course between the states into the harbor
Anchoring: Good depth of about 7m at low tide inside the harbor and towards the floating pier which is about 12m long. One can dock on both sides with good depth. It has somewhat sparse mooring points.
The piers further inside the harbor are very high, and impossible to climb onto from a leisure boat.
The area: An enchanting area with a historical feel. Informative signs on one of the house walls, and on the fish drying rack provide good information about the life and development of the harbor.

Approach and maritime conditions: Shallow, but very well-marked entrance
Plenty of space in a safe harbour.
Very beautiful nature and a bustling birdlife on the islands between the harbour and Skomvær.

Mooring: Several floating docks and ample space along the quays.
The area: Local shop and a couple/three pubs/restaurants.

Lovund is a great place.

The approach might seem a bit unclear, with a 1-meter shoal marked on the chart right in the fairway, but we didn't find it. Pass by Novasea's facility and follow the well-marked channel before turning in towards the docks. There are several utility boats, including the rescue boat, before you reach the guest dock.
Short distance to a pub, pizza restaurant (not open on Mondays and Tuesdays even in the middle of the holiday season), café, and hotel with a very good restaurant. Joker store. The rescue boat is sometimes located right by the guest harbor.

Great outdoor swimming facility and wooden amphitheater 100m away from the guest harbor. Excellent for families with children.
There is a nature trail that leads up into the puffin cliffs (about 2 km) if you follow the road past the swimming area and turn right at the first intersection. Walk past the hotel and continue straight up the hill. The trail turns left just after the hilltop. Well-facilitated with info boards and stairs.

Entrance and maritime conditions: Sørburøyflesa is a channel between Sørburøy and Nordøya. It is well protected from winds from all directions and has good depth all the way to the shore on both sides. We waited out a SW gale and lay safely and securely.
Anchoring: Good holding ground at about 7m at low tide. At the northern end, there is a beacon and west of it, there is a shoal.
There is a private 12m floating dock at the innermost part of the channel on the east side. It is possible to dock there if it is available. Good depth.

The area: There is a path from the mentioned floating dock up to the road, and from there it is about a 10-minute walk to the store/ fish reception on Nordøya. Limited selection of goods, but some vegetables, milk, and various items are available. The store was open between 14:00 - 16:00.
Diesel and gasoline are sold. The express boat has a stop at the fish reception.

Ospesundet is beautifully situated amidst a multitude of larger and smaller islets. We anchored in the northwestern part of Søre Ospesundet at 10m with good holding ground (sand). The area is sheltered from weather and sea from all directions. Even with 7-8 m/s NW winds outside, only a few modest gusts found their way in. The approach from the west through Djupesundet, as the name suggests, has good depth all the way.

Easy entrance to the Voe from the South Sound. Several large fish and shell farms, but mostly out of the way.
The piers on both side of the marina is occupied of vessels from the fish farms.
The marina can take two guest boats each side at the hammerhead. The minimum depth is 1,5m
BE AWARE the shallow entrance to the marina, so be sure to enter from the NORTH, keeping close to the brakewater. Electricity and water on the dock.

Mooring: Small boat harbor which is probably fine for those who have permanent spots, but difficult for a solo sailor to moor in when there is a bit of wind. No hooks on the dock, but loops through which one must thread mooring lines. No amenities of any kind, other than diesel as far as I could see.

Several people we have met praise the fish cakes at «Myken seng og suppe», both for lunch and dinner. It can be a significantly cheaper and perhaps just as good alternative to the restaurant «Fiskebruket».

Batlasound is a very beautiful area, which is very well suited for cycling trips in the pleasant landscape.
Safe harbor, definitely best to anchor here, as the quay area is characterized by decay and a lot of mess from aquaculture and fishing. Loading gravel onto the cargo ship generates a lot of noise and dust.
The harbor master is a nice guy. We had to pay 20 pounds for three days. Shower and toilet facilities are available in the sailing club house nearby, but the decay here was also noticeable.
Latest 2024, a shell facility has been established where the chart marks an anchorage near the harbor, so one is forced to anchor in shallow water where there is a lot of large seaweed.

Small harbor with only one guest berth. We measured 2.2 meters depth at the dock. Very pleasant area. Here you can walk/bike to Lunna Voe and Lunna House where Shetlands Larsen and the crew had headquarters for a while during the war. Follow the road up the hill from the harbor to find the shop and bus stop for buses to Lerwick. The shop manager is also the harbor master.

Stø is a safe fishing harbour with guest berths on several floating docks. They are primarily intended for the fishing fleet that operates here during the winter season but can also be used by leisure boats, as there is often plenty of space during the summer. No facilities except for electricity on the docks. Price in 2023: NOK 60 per boat/night including electricity.

Gaukværøy had as many as 120 inhabitants at the beginning of the 1900s. A plaque has been erected that tells the history of the place. Now, only the cellar ruins of the houses that stood on the island remain. The island was deserted by the last inhabitants shortly after the war, and due to a shortage of materials, the houses were dismantled and moved to the mainland. Therefore, no wood remains on the house sites. There is a path along the entire outer side of the island, which leads between the three settlements that were here. If you climb up one of the peaks or the saddle between them, you can see towards Bø and Hadseløya.

The harbor is large and safe. Guest spots are available in the form of municipal common docks, either two floating docks or three wooden docks. The dock shown in the picture has electricity but only a trash can. The electrical cabinet looked questionable, no water on the dock. The price per night is at a stiff Lofoten level, with NOK 382 for boats up to 13m, NOK 507 for boats over...
No facilities at the docks, but a short distance to Bunnpris, pub, and café.
Ramberg Beach, with Ramberg Guesthouse and campground, is only a 5-minute walk away.

Lofoten and Værøy Bryggehotell have a very good restaurant. It has two sittings, so it is advisable to book in advance.

Be aware that the aquaculture industry has taken over the quays. We experienced a lot of noise and commotion from aquaculture boats and the loading and unloading of people and equipment along the docks. Still just as sheltered as before, and the harbor master lady is a dinghy sailor and also runs the local bakery, so it is important to maintain a good rapport here.

Large bay with two (Three) wicks. We took a small "bay" in the mid part since it did appear less exposed to the north westerly wind. Bay open to the south east, but no swell evene if wind had been at 12-15 knot for days..

Small village in bottom of Hoswick.

Channerwick close by to the south has been reported with good holding in sand, but we found it more exposed to the NW wind.

Sandwick close by to the north may looks temting, with better protection, but the chart showes submerged cables!

Good holding ground, 5-7 m depth. Be aware of pipes crossing the area at the entrance as it might tempt you to anchor a bit more to the west for better shelter. We were three boats there, and there was still plenty of space and ample room to swing.

All the spaces at the floating dock are occupied by local boats, but it is possible to moor at the end of the dock. Be aware of the ladder in the middle of the end of the dock and the edges between the two extensions. All electrical outlets are either occupied or locked/blocked, so no electricity or water at the floating dock.

Approach and maritime conditions: Floating dock located at the very end of the harbor, a stone's throw from Skomvær Kroa. Near the road, so traffic noise is noticeable.
Mooring: The dock is made of steel, a bit worn but still serviceable, with good mooring possibilities. Didn't measure the depth but it seemed deep enough for a sailboat at low tide, especially at the outer end.
The area: Skomvær Kroa is a stone's throw away..
