There are three guest harbors in Lysekil. The most important one is located furthest south. There is a large marina where two sections serve as guest harbors. One section is occasionally reserved for sailing events. There are ice stands and a restaurant in the harbor area. A little further in, there is a guest harbor in the fishing harbor. It is less attractive. On the other side of the headland, there is also a guest harbor in an industrial area. I would almost say that if you cannot find space in the main guest harbor, skip Lysekil and go to Fiskebäckskil on the other side of the fjord.

Lysekil is a small town the size of Strömstad, but with not quite as many tourists. The town is situated on a headland with harbors on both sides. The outermost part is a public area with beaches and smooth rocky shores. From the sea, the large granite church dominates the view. The old part of town is quite pleasant. The southernmost part consists of old wooden houses. The old town center has cobblestone streets and large wooden houses. In the center, there is a charming little square with cafés. Further inland it is a more ordinary town. The town's biggest attraction is Havets hus - a nice aquarium. Not large, but worth a visit. With the same ticket, you can play minigolf outside, and there is a café with a view of the sea.
