Innseiling og maritime forhold: Moss gjestehavn finner du i kanalen på begge sider av kanalbrua som knytter Jeløya sammen med Moss. Brua er sveiset igjen og har fri seilingshøyde 4,5 m iflg. sjøkartdata.

Innseiling fra sør er enkel, men hold klar av Bastøferjene som ligger øst i kanalåpningen. Rett Vest før innseilingen finner du Fiske båthavn og bystranda/Sjøbadet. Sør for brua er det kun mulig å fortøye på østsiden mot Bastøferjeparkeringen.

Når strøm og vind går motsatt retning av hverandre, kan det bli rotete sjø i kanalmunningen. Dette kan forsterkes ytterligere av ferjenes trøster når de legger fra kai.

Innseiling fra nord er helt problemfri fra Mossesundet. På denne siden av brua kan du legge til på begge sider i kanalen, samt på flytebryggene rett nord for tollboden (Peppes Pizza).

Dybder i kanalen er 3,5-5 m. Vestsiden sør for brua kan du ikke legge til.
Fortøying: Fortøyning i kanalen er longside mot trebrygger. Fortøyning på flytebrygger i bås eller longside.

Ankring forbudt!

Det kan være relativt kraftig strøm i kanalen under ugunstige forhold som man bør være oppmerksom på ved tillegging.
Området: Gjestehavna tilbyr full service gjestehavnfasiliteter. I Moss finner du alle byfasiliteter, slakter, baker og fiskebutikk ved kanalen og gangavstand til det meste forøvrig, kjøpesenter, badestrender, gallerier, restauranter, kino mv.

Noe partystøy i kanalen i høysesong. Peppes pizza og Fiskebasaren ligger på bryggas østside. Fiskebasaren har allsang og god stemning på onsdager i sesongen.

Kanalen er godt trafikkert av småbåter på godværsdagene.
