description
Entry and maritime conditions: Scenic and north-facing bay on the outside of the island Austra, directly opposite Skei on Leka. Surrounded by lush and massive mountains. Onland there are fields belonging to a nearby farm. The entry is straightforward and easy. There is a ferry dock a bit northward which causes some rocking waves inside the bay.
Anchoring: In Rossvika, it is quite steep underwater. The depth ranges from 5-20 meters, with a deep channel around 20 meters. Therefore, it can be a bit challenging to get a good hold, but it is possible with a few attempts. An alternative is to drop the anchor deep and secure yourself to solid bolts on the east side of the bay. Then you pull the anchor towards shallow water, and you will get a better hold.
