Nice beach with decent anchorage. Despite the sand, the anchor holds surprisingly well. The bay faces slightly eastward and is therefore somewhat sheltered from westerly weather. However, if it blows hard from the west, the waves will curve in and create a lot of swell inside the bay. Thus, it is recommended to anchor here only in good weather and with low wave heights. The beach is beautiful and the depth increases evenly, without any surprising shallows. A good alternative to entering Farsund if the weather is fine.
