Søndre Bjørnsund er en av de mest idylliske plassene langs Mørekysten. Innseilingen er veldig smal, men med god dybde. Spør pent, og man kan få låne ledige private plasser om en ikke ønsker å ligge inn mot kai til vestre på bildet.

Søndre Bjørnsund: Min 3m dyp i hele havnen, i1932 ble det laget en demning, tømte havnen for van sprengte bort alt under 3m. Kai for av og påstigning. Trang innseiling 4,13m bredde ok
Søndre Bjørnsund: NB - det er nå gjesteplasser 4- 8, avhengig av båtbredde/-lengde. Jfr.bildene. Ikke strøm/vann, ellers ypperlig havn !

Innseiling og maritime forhold: Forholdsvis trang innseiling, men gode dybdeforhold. Den er godt merket. Der går fint å gå inn med seilbåt.
Fortøying: Muligheter for å fortøye ved privat brygge etter avtale. (Den er merket med telefon nummer). Også mulig å fortøye ved Kai.
Området: Flotte turområder. Idyllisk og meget godt vedlikeholt fiskevær. Minnesmerke for Rokta-forliset.
