Natural harbour
Region: Norway (3262), Troms og Finnmark (454), Finnmark (224) and Hasvik (28)
Pål Blix-Johansen says:
description
Approach and maritime conditions: The harbor is located at the very outermost on the east side of Hasfjord.
Anchoring: Floating dock where it is 230 cm deep in the middle of the dock at the lowest low tide. Here, you can moor well with a sailboat if you have the bow facing land. Rough seas with westerly wind. In strong southeast wind, the harbor becomes unsettled when the sea flows over the reefs protecting the harbor. Anchoring bolts on the surrounding islets, good holding ground. The dock is owned and operated by Hasvik boat association. No dock fee.
The area: A great starting point for hikes. You can see remnants of hunting pits from the Stone Age and house remains from more recent times.
