Stedets (eneste?) attraksjon er Valøytinden, og om du ligger og venter på været så er det verdt å ta seg en tur opp hit. Det høres ikke så imponerende ut med 137 moh., men på toppen er det flott utsikt over øyriket, og ganske så luftig ned på sørsiden. Turen starter noen hundre meter fra båthavna, og er godt merket.

Innseiling og maritime forhold: Valøya er et døsig og lite sted på nordsiden av Ytre Vikna. Innseilingen er grunn og smal. Stedet er ikke den største destinasjonen i seg selv, men et fint stopp om du er på vei den ytre leden rundt Vikna.
Fortøying: Longside fortøying ytterst på båtforeningens flytebrygge.
