Innseiling og maritime forhold: Fjelldal Båtforening ligger sentralt til i Tjeldsundet. Det er 2 alternative innseilinger. Innseiling fra Nord langs vestsiden av Fjelldalsholmen. Pass på skjær mot vest. Innseiling fra østsiden av Fjelldalsholmen. Vær oppmerksom på grunne sørøst av holmen. Foruten nevnte skjær og grunner er det god dybde også for seilbåter.
Fortøying: Gjestebrygge 15 meter. God dybde. Lun havn på det meste av vær, men vær obs på sterkere nordlig vind som står inn i havna. God sandbunn på 5-10 meter på østsiden av Fjelldalsholmen er et alternativ for de som ønsker å ankre.
Området: Fjelldal Ramstad har ca 350 innbyggere. På Fjelldal finner du Norges Brannskole, nærmat butikk, spisested.

Gjestebrygga har klubblokale med toalett og dusj. Det er mulighet for leie av vaskemaskin på forespørsel. På gjestebrygge er det strøm og vannfylling.

På Fjelldal er det flere muligheter for tur og aktivitet. En tur opp til Ramflåget Skruven gir et fint utkikkspunkt over Tjeldsundet. Ønsker man en lengre tur kan man gå videre opp til Kvitfjellet/ Fjelldalsheia. Rundt her finner man flere turstier i tråkket og merket tereng. Fjelldal Idrettslag har kunstgressbane og ballbinge. Rett i nærheten av idrettsanlegget er det gapahuk med mulighet for grill og bålkos.

Drivstoff - 500 meter mot øst finner du Haltbakk Bunkers sitt tankanlegg hvor det er mulig å tanke diesel og bensin fra flytebrygge. Vær obs på at eget kort fra Haltbakk Bunkers kreves. Bestilles enkelt på selskapet sin nettside. I tillegg har Knapphus Energi et tankanlegg på Rødskjær, rett over på andre siden av Tjeldsundet. Her kan de fleste bankkort benyttes.
