Il porto si trova in un vecchio cantiere navale dove si mantengono ancora barche in legno.
Il luogo è incantevole e offre servizi molto decorosi. Il caffè e il museo sono aperti durante la stagione.
Si può anche prenotare una sauna.
Ma non si passa vicino a Bassholmen, bisogna andarci appositamente.
Sono possibili tre rotte, tutte molto ben segnalate ma che richiedono un'attenzione costante a boe e carte nautiche. Non consiglierei di tentarle di notte, nemmeno con un buon plotter al timone (in particolare la rotta Nord-Est):
- da Nord-Est, sarà necessario passare uno stretto basso fondale (2,7 m), appena prima del traghetto a cavo. La corrente lì può raggiungere i 3 nodi. Poi la profondità è confortevole per tutto il percorso (>4 m), ma alcune passaggi sono (molto) tortuosi.
