Hvalstrand Marina (Papperøy) does not have fixed guest spots, but has signs with green and red marks.
In the harbor, it is stated that you should call Fredrik Ellingsen, +47 920 86 487, to be assigned a spot. We called in advance of our arrival to check if there were available spots.
You enter from the north between Papperøy and Størknesholmen. There is a 1.4 meter shallow area near the harbor marked by a buoy. Keep this to port when entering - i.e., pass between the buoy and the floating dock in the harbor.

7 guest places that are marked on the Harbor web (used for payment/booking).
The places are by the southwestern breakwater. You moor with anchor at the back and rings on the breakwater. Good holding ground for the anchor.
The breakwater protects against the sea, but there's still a good wind draft in the harbor.
The harbor seems to be used a lot by day-trippers in small boats.
Restaurant in the harbor (Bua) with good fish & chips.
The coastal path is wide and nice and is recommended for walks or jogs. A nice way to see more of Asmaløy.
Cozy and quiet harbor with fishing boats and the pilot boat.
No guest harbor infrastructure (electricity, water).

Mooring buoy from SXK offers a great opportunity near Strömstad. Using the buoy requires membership in the Swedish Cruising Club and their buoy flag.
You are alone in nature with excellent swimming opportunities, yet only 1.5 nautical miles from the town.
