The harbour entrance starts at the pier and the jetty of Nieuwpoort. Under normal conditions this poses no major difficulty, except in the presence of strong currents and/or wind. Once past the entrance, a storm surge barrier is currently under construction, which may generate strong local currents. Please consult the app for current conditions.
From there, proceed until the junction leading to VVW or KYCN. Keep left to proceed to the visitor’s pontoon. The pontoon is located at the far end of the harbour, directly opposite the administrative buildings and the sanitary facilities.
Each berth is equipped with electricity and water connections.
The marina is close to the town centre, where many restaurants and shops can be found. Good food is also available at the VVW bar/restaurant. From Nieuwpoort, the coastal tram allows you to travel along the entire Belgian coast. From Ostend, trains provide easy access to the whole of Belgium.
