Mooring: You are moored to docks; inner harbor alongside, depth approximately 3m. Outer harbor bow to the dock and stern anchor on busy days. Depth along the dock 2.2-2.5m. Use a stern buoy, it is shallow and narrow, so the anchor line hangs high in the water across the strait and can cause problems if not set deep enough. There can be some swell when it blows hard. With a north wind, you are reliant on the stern anchor holding, and it does not always hold due to the shallow depth.
Steep harbor fees; 31-40 feet 280 NOK, 41-50 feet 415 NOK (2021).
The area: Great gem, a couple of restaurants, far to shops but Meny offers delivery to the dock. Local bakery and fish shop!

Approach and maritime conditions: Entry possible from two sides; the inlet from the SW has a depth of 7m although it is narrow. All sailboats pass here. The inlet from the NW is used by some motorboats, requiring some slalom maneuvers between shallows. For those familiar with the area.
There can be some swell in the bay with wind from the NW, but generally well sheltered from all winds, especially in the northern part of the bay.
Anchoring: Mooring to land with stern anchor is possible around almost the entire bay. Particularly popular in the northern part of the bay, and possibly in the SW. Some alongside berths for sailboats along the rock face in the NE. Room for four to five boats at anchor. Anchoring on clay, good holding. Some have reported somewhat poorer holding at anchor in the SW, but this has not been experienced by the undersigned. Anchoring depth 7-9m.
The area: Beautiful and protected bay and very popular. Unfortunately, it often gets too noisy with parties and commotion late into the night on weekends in the middle of the season.
