Approach and maritime conditions: Good swinging room if you visit Jøkelfjorden. Short distance from Kvænangen to the fjord's inner end.
Anchoring: Anchoring at a depth of 7-10 meters in the northwest part of the fjord. Moderate holding ground. There is quite a bit of kelp and seagrass, so you need to set the anchor well and test it by backing up. By placing yourself here, you stay clear of wind and sea when the weather comes from Kvænangen. We had 20 knots of wind from the west and rough seas in Kvænangen, but flat water inside Reinfjorden.
The Area: There is a barbecue hut on the beach by the river.

Approach and Maritime Conditions: The floating dock at Nordmannsneset. Easy approach, but the dock is not easily visible until you are very close. It is shallow towards the shore, but drops off steeply. We stayed with a sailboat that has a draft of 2.05 meters and had almost half the boat outside the dock.
Anchoring: Depths at the floating dock relative to the chart datum, measured with a sounding line at the bollards, are from the innermost: 2.1 - 3.6 - 5.1 meters. There is also good holding ground for anchoring between the river outlets at about 8 meters depth. Be aware of the swinging circle, somewhat shallow towards the south.
The Area: A hike up to the waterfalls in Melkelva is recommended. About an hour round trip. Some steep ascent, so shoes with good soles are recommended.
