There are waves in the guest harbor regardless of wind direction. It is incredibly poorly adapted for mooring of recreational boats as the tires are mounted high and the boats end up under the tires. The toilets and showers are only open when the restaurant is open. It is an incredibly child-unfriendly guest harbor and the harbor fee is far too expensive compared to what you get for the money. Try to find a spot in other guest harbors in the area and rather take the bus into Bergen.
