Unfortunately! Halmstad would like to present itself as a summer city, but that does not apply to leisure boat people.
Admittedly (if you find a free spot), it's a short walk to the city center with all its restaurants and other outdoor eateries.
But the harbor, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired. Catastrophic surroundings, feels like you're next door to the city's garbage dump. Heavy industries, dilapidated quays. There are admittedly two floating docks with 12-16 spots, but then you can't be too wide. The quays designated for alongside mooring are not recommended unless you want to spend the winter repairing damage to the hull
In short, DON'T GO HERE!
