Approach and maritime conditions: Calm and very pleasant harbour in the center with a good view of the fortress. Many restaurants by the quay.

The area: The guest harbour is located in the center of Halden. The harbour has many eateries and it is a short distance to grocery stores, bakeries, hotels, etc. Fredriksten Fortress is not far away and there is a great view of it from the harbour. There are charming walking opportunities around, cobblestone streets, the fortress, etc. Halden is also known as 'the city of cars,' so here you can sit and watch lots of beautiful vehicles pass by almost every day throughout the summer.
