Omlandskilen is very scenic and offers shelter from all winds.
It is approximately 3 nautical miles from Risør harbor, making it a very good alternative to all the hustle in Risør, at least during holiday periods.
The depth is about 8-10 meters with a muddy bottom providing good holding.
There are some bolts in the rock on the west side of the Kilen.
This is a perfect harbor if you need to seek a 'safe haven' due to bad weather/strong winds. Here you can stay safely and spend the time walking/jogging on gravel roads/paths in the area.
We recommend hiking up to the nearby mountain top, it offers a very nice view over the sea.
It is possible to walk (or cycle if you have your own bike) into Risør.
