The guest dock behind the breakwater is now removed, but the first of the two floating docks has been converted into a guest dock with both alongside berths and slips. Signs indicate 2.2m depth on the inside, 4m on the outside.

Grei innseiling fra nord. Flott havn i godvær. Veldig mye bunnvegetasjon som kom opp med ankeret.

Unproblematic arrival from the north. On the west side of the fjord north of Fårholmen, you can anchor without problems if you have enough chain - the depth is between 15 and 20 meters with mud. There are many cabins around the fjord, but relatively little boat traffic.

The harbour is located in the center of Sandnes. Many shops and eateries nearby.
On the nautical chart (Navionics), it appears that the floating pier extends further than it actually does, and that you have to navigate through very shallow waters - this is not correct. It is not a problem to come in here with our depth of 2.2 meters.
Only the quays on the south and north sides are guest harbours - the pier in the middle belongs to the boating association and is not public. In the northern part, only boats up to 20 feet are allowed. For boats over 20 feet, space is limited, not more than about 10 boats can fit here.
The website was quite outdated in the summer of 2025 - the service pier is open and very nice, with showers, toilets, and a washing machine.
In the summer, it can be a bit noisy here, as there are many activities happening in the harbour right by the guest pier.
