Innseiling og maritime forhold: Det kan bli noe svell pga trafikk utenfor moloen / hovedledning som passerer utenfor. Veldig grei innseiling, og relativt god plass i havnen. Det er dypt nok på begge bryggene (2,5m) på lavvann. Som ellers på Helgeland kan østavind to godt her.
Fortøying: Det er to brygger som kan benyttes. Den ytterste bryggen har vann og strøm på bryggen. Den indre bryggen krever lang skjøteledning opp på plattingen. Det fortøyes alongside.
Området: Gjestehavnen er i tilknytning til Bolga Brygge som serverer utmerket mat. Det er en fin tur både til toppen av øya, og også til vestsiden der det er en vippestein. Det er et privat båtmotormuseum på øya for spesielt interesserte. Eieren starter opp motorer på anmodning.
