Approach and maritime conditions: Børøya is located in the archipelago in Nord-Trøndelag, inside Haltenbanken. Many use this as a day anchorage, but if the weather permits, you can easily stay overnight.
Anchorage: Anchorage depth is from 5-25 meters. The seabed is steep, which can make it challenging to get a good anchor hold if you are swinging at anchor. You get a more secure anchor hold by securing the stern or bow to land. This way, the anchor goes deeper than you, and it doesn’t release as easily. It is also quite narrow here, which also argues for tying up to land.
The area: Nice hiking area.
