It’s advisable to call the harbor guard on channel 12 before arrival. He will assign a place. He also came down to the quay and helped with mooring. Good service. Nice to stay here even with some uncomfortable east winds at 30 knots. Here you are in the middle of the city with shops around you. No dedicated service building and therefore possibly a bit overpriced. A separate web-based payment system is used here. Somewhat time-consuming with registration. But it’s convenient to pay per kilowatt consumption afterward. One must remember to terminate the power consumption on the website when the stay is concluded.

Hammerfest er en by i stor utvikling. Gjestehavna ligger ved Rådhusplassen. Gangavstand til flere matbutikker og kjøpesentre. Rett ovenfor Rådhusplassen starter sikksakkveien, en gangsti som tar deg opp til utsiktspunktet Salen. Anbefales. Videre er Gjenreisningsmuseet, rett ved siden av kirken, vel verdt et besøk.

Det er enkel innseiling til gjestebrygga. God dybde hele veien. De fleste av de innerste båsene er leid ut. Gjester fortøyer longside. Strøm og vann på brygga. Ikke noe godt system for søppelhåndtering. Drivstoff fra flytebrygge og søppelcontainer ved fiskerihavnen nord i havnen. Enkel innseiling til fiskerihavnen, men en aktiv havn med mye trafikk. Hold utkikk.
