Easy arrival and mooring at the floating dock by the General Store. The floating docks have slightly limited capacity. One can anchor with a stern line towards the open area nearby where there are some bolts in the rock.

Hosanger is a very sheltered harbor in all conditions and it gets warm inside the inlet even when it can be cool out on the fjord and along the coast.

Approach and maritime conditions: The approach is straightforward. Sailboats should be aware of overhead cables inside the bay. It is stated to be 16m, but is somewhat higher along the land on the west side. Some shallow areas along some of the floating docks (located at the mouth of a river). Very sheltered harbor in terms of wind.
Mooring: Mooring is at floating docks along the general store, alternatively at the steamship quay (the store also collects fees from this).
The area: General store with dining and bicycle rentals. Beautiful hiking areas, including to Krossosvingane.
