description
The harbour is easy to enter and very safe, so always a good backup plan.
We were sailing from Tanger to Rabat-Salé, and were tired with the tide against us, so we went into Laarache and wanted to anker in the river mouth for a few hours. The harbour master called us on the radio, and told us that it's forbidden to anchor in the river, and made us came to the main dock. So we had to clear in (2h), and first they did not want us to leave before the morning (which was too late for the tide), so after a long discussion, they cleared us immediately out. So instead of sleeping, we had four hours of administrative work, and were charged 26€ for the "night" on the pontoon.
Beside that, it's a real genuine moroccan fishing harbour, which is surely pretty interesting to see ...

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 42 minutes ago (Wednesday 23 July 01:16 PM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
The safe wind directions for this harbour has been decided by an algorithm, based on how elevated the land around the harbour is. It's mostly correct, but sometimes the underlying data about elevation levels is not good enough to make correct decisions. It's a great help to other if you can validate or adjust the safe wind directions. You can see the data used by the algorithm to decide the safe wind directions by clicking here.
The visits are retrieved from AIS data. You can click to see all visiting ships to Laarache, as well as statistics about the ships that visits
