Enkel adkomst via sør/øst siden av øyen. Anløp via nordre løp er og mulig, men noen grunner i sundet.

Man kan ligge på svai øst for øyen, eventuelt foran Vollane strand. Bukten er ganske dyp flere steder (20m +)

Øyen er friluftsområde. Fra gammelt av var dette en liten husmannsplass. Stedets historie er skiltet på øyen.

Flere steder er det bolter i fjellet for fortøyning med dregg.

Med jolle kan man komme inn til Eidsvåg hvor det går buss til Bergen sentrum.
