Ved sørlig og sørøstlig vind ligger du svært godt på svai utenfor havna på Stråholmen. Det er store områder å ankre på, med godt feste og 5-10 meter dybder. Det er plass til svært mange båter her.
På land finner du fin bebyggelse og hyggelige stier sørover på øya. Det er også fint å padle kajakk eller SUP rundt Stråholmen på stille dager.

Innseiling og maritime forhold: Stråholmen ligger 4 - 5 nautiske mil nord for gjestehavna på Jomfruland. Innseiling fra nord-øst. Vær særlig oppmerksom på grunna som strekker seg nord-nordvest fra havna mot Danmark og Rugsekken.
Ankring: Havna ved Stråholmen har en oppbygd molo med noen få gjesteplasser for fortøyning med dregg. Utenfor moloen er det fint å ligge på svai eller ligge på dregg mot land. Ankringsdybde 3-6 meter med gode bunnforhold.
Området: Stråholmen er et sjarmerende sted med flere hytter og stort friområde. Det er en fin og barnevennlig badestrand innenfor moloen.
