Spectacular harbor at the outermost part of the archipelago. Slightly challenging navigation in, there are some shoals not marked on the chart, and with a sailboat, it's tight to turn around and get out again. Bolts in the rock and alongside berths against Ramsøkalven. Swing around the 'tongue' at a 3m depth contour extending SSW from Ramsøkalven to avoid the most dangerous shoal.

Læsø Østerby is a good harbour with a favorable position. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a beach, playground, and restaurant right by the harbor, tidy and clean with good sanitary facilities. The beach west of the harbor is good for swimming, otherwise, there are some pebbles. On days with favorable weather, there are many boats coming in and out of the harbor, as the harbor is well-positioned for sailing between Germany via Anholt, and Sweden.
There are two jetties where boats are moored between poles. The width between these is at least 4m (we came in on a boat with a width of 3.83m but had to assist the fenders to pass). The last jetty has alongside berths. It has also been extended since the aerial photo was taken, with a fixed pier and floating dock towards the breakwater.

Has been on the south side (outside) of the beacon at Steinflua. Flew a drone after the anchor was dropped and the boat had turned a bit, and discovered that the power cable marked on the chart lies somewhat further east than drawn in. It was easy to see with the drone and probably also possible to see from the deck, and there are some rocks in the area that you must also anchor a bit away from.
