A calm and pleasant harbour that offers good protection from most wind directions, but the entrance can be a bit narrow as it is shallow from the green buoys towards the lowest breakwater, which is barely visible at high tide. Longside mooring and approximately 3 meters depth at low tide.
A stone's throw away lies Austrått Manor, which is worth a visit. This was the residence of one of the few noble families in Norway. The most famous of them is Lady Inger of Austrått.
Some old harbour facilities, but the boat association is working on maintenance (2026). Clean toilets.

A pleasant and well-maintained dock to arrive at! Here, the hosts meet you at the dock to lend a hand. Bjørn could not meet us himself when we arrived and organized another helping hand. Bjørn stopped by later in the evening to check if we had everything we needed. The clubhouse of the boat association has its own small kitchen and plenty of seating, and the surroundings are beautiful. The clubhouse has an attached shower and toilet. The ferry Tarva departs from the same harbor area, but it disturbs little as it doesn't run often. We had a peaceful night even with a northeast wind and would happily return to Dybfest!

Sør-Gjæslingan is a hidden gem that is absolutely worth a visit. The approach can be challenging, but with good charts and a good description of the fairway, you will be rewarded with a lot of fishing history and bustling birdlife. The quay accommodates six medium-sized boats, and the depth is okay even at low tide. It is a bit tight on the south side of the quay, but this is not a problem if you back out with your sailboat when departing. You will find showers and toilets near the express boat quay, which you can reach after a picturesque little walk. If you meet people from the coastal museum, they will give you a historical insight into life on the islands. They make a tremendous effort to preserve the beautiful old fishing village.

Husvær is an idyllic place! The approach is somewhat narrow in some places with a depth of 6 meters, so be aware. The guest harbor has a couple of places where you can moor alongside as well as a number of berths. The depth at the quay was sufficient for our 1.85 meter draft.
The restaurant Havkanten is a 5-minute walk from the harbor and is definitely worth a visit, whether to eat or just to buy a drink and gaze out over Hestmannen, the Seven Sisters, and the rest of the archipelago.

A good and deep harbour. Shelter from most wind directions. Possible that the north wind can be slightly noticeable. Mooring alongside. Noticed that several pleasure boats dock stern to stern, moored to each other and the pier. 299,- kroner per day including electricity and water. Small shop right next to the pier.
Beautiful area with cozy buildings and rich fishing history. Råkvåg was built on herring fishing. There can be a lot of activity around the pier on weekends.
