Nordfjorden offers experiences off the beaten track, surrounded by steep mountains and glaciers visible at the innermost part of the fjord. The area is also known for abundant fish and wildlife, including seals that often lie on the rocks basking in the sun. No mobile coverage from when you leave Melfjorden, and limited VHF coverage, so it might be wise to inform local acquaintances of your whereabouts.

Sheltered bay within the entrance to the fantastic Nordfjorden. Here you will likely be quite alone and off the beaten path, but definitely worth a visit.

Shared service house with motorhome/camping area, so expect some queues for the use of showers and washing machines during public holidays. Otherwise, well-arranged for visitors.
