Pier B Resort is a 4-star hotel / restaurant. The marina is intended primarily for guests of the resort, however there are usually several 'unreserved' slips that are available for transient, day-use only. The floating docks/jetty are seasonal. You must call the hotel desk (# posted at the harbor entrance) to have the draw-bridge opened. Just tell them that you are stopping for lunch/dinner at Pier B ... it's an excellent restaurant. The dock is adjacent to Bay Front Festival Park - a popular outdoor entertainment venue. It is also withing easy walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in Duluth's famous Canal Park.

Mooring spots and maneuverability inside the safe harbor is limited. There is a nominal fee for overnight mooring - Stockton Island is within the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Many beautiful hikes on the island and a Park Service visitor center with public toilets.

Floating docks are typically full with permanent residents but the HM usually as one or two transient slips available. There is a public toilet and a playground (the facilities could be "refreshed", but totally adequate) adjacent to the marina. Beautiful sunsets on Cornucopia Beach. There is a restaurant and fish monger along with several craft shops adjacent to the marina. The village of Cornucopia is an easy walk where you'll find a coffee shop, a couple of restaurants, groceries and even a hardware store. It's a cute place with a good safe harbor.
