Entry can be tricky in strong N to E winds; visitor’s berths in E basin, draft up to 2 meters; entrance is shallow — entry HW +/- 4 hrs; grocery store, restaurants, beautiful beach, bus connection to Elgin, here change to Nairn, Inverness;

Entry is OK, except for strong N and NE winds; fixed quay only; mooring alongside,rafting very often; one berth for ferry; tidal currents around the island; no recommended anchorages; nice walks and perfect bird watching; no restaurants, just one grocery store; former building of the bird observatory destroyed by fire, new one under construction.

After big changes, the port entrance is from south; for visitors, there is a pontoon with fingers; immediately to NE from the port, there can be lumpy seas when wind is adverse to tide; no good anchorage near the port; the town buses are free of charge; it is recommended to report to Harbour Office via VHF (CH 12 or 16) on both arrival and departure.

During day, entry is OK, at night, big care is needed; a lot of space on 2 to 6 meters; also municipal piers nearby; restaurant and grocery shop at village; interesting Lycian tombs nearby, beautiful Simena Castle 3.5 km; yacht shipyard in the eastern end of the bay.
Because of mountains in the vicinity, katabatic winds can be experienced.

Entry is OK; not port of entry; in 2015, it was possible to stay here without visiting a port of entry – small “fine“ was collected (22 €), no problems; beautiful place; be advised, not all places are deep enough; anchor to pier – stern to; restaurants, shops, fortress, nice walks; the easternmost inhabited Greek island.
