The harbour is deep enough for large boats. At least 2m right up to the quay. Sailboats can moor alongside all the way.

Large harbour with many berths. Slightly challenging to find available spots, you need to move around and look. Green means available, but also check the date. The owner may return the same day, or in several weeks.
All berths are marked with width. The width of the berths can vary greatly, even on the same pier.
Good availability for narrow boats.

The website states that the harbour is not open to regular leisure boats. It seems that larger vessels, as well as some more specialized boats, are accommodated. On windy days, they likely make more room since the north harbour is full.

Good harbor, little sea even with very strong winds, but you can't completely escape the wind as the area is quite flat. Spacious harbor, well marked, solid docks, and good access to power and water.
Possible to pre-book some spots. It worked well.
Ferry to Varberg center from the harbor (about 5 km to walk), cozy restaurant on the dock, and a couple of kilometers to the grocery store.
Great hiking opportunities!

Nice harbour. Here you are safe under most conditions. Winds from the east are noticeable, but it doesn't create many waves. The surrounding land is low.

Had a bit of difficulty getting the anchor to hold in the middle of the harbor, but when we moved a little to the east, the problem was solved.

A bit more exposed to wind from the southeast than we expected, but good docks, so you lie safely. Free bicycle rental! Great hiking opportunities on the peninsula between Sandhamn and Torshamn.

Very pleasant harbour and village! On the chart, the harbour is marked as quite shallow, but it must have been dredged. Boats that normally draft about 2 meters went all the way in. Diesel filling and a 'boat washing machine' are located at the very end of the harbour.
Friendly and good eatery on the quay. The fish and chips dish was very good!

Short distance to everything. Beautiful beach just west of the harbor. Sandskogen (The Sand Forest) just east of Ystad town. Cozy town center with many shops, restaurants, etc.

This is a decent harbour for a lunch stop, but it might not be suitable for an overnight stay. The harbour is well protected from the wind, but the wave pattern inside the harbour can quickly become somewhat uncomfortable. Waves from passing boats reflect and it feels like they never go away.
Very good anchorage, so you lie safely.

Great harbor in a beautiful town. Stopped only briefly here, but I think it would have been nice to stay here for a couple of nights.
