Good depth up to the piers and for sailboats. You can moor alongside on the outside or inside. If you intend to moor inside the northern pier, be aware of a wire from the pier heading north towards the ferry dock. The piers are exposed to waves from passing boats in the strait and wind from the south, north, and east.
The place has a beautiful garden with various plantings, and the history of the location, created by Hilma Svedahl, is captivating (https://www.vastsverige.com/stromstad/produkter/alaska/). In the summer, there is an open kiosk offering light refreshments.
