Have been anchored here for 3 nights now. Anchored in a northerly wind. The second night it turned to south, with 13-14 m/s in gusts. Tonight it was forecasted 16 m/s in gusts. From the north. That means another 180 degrees. I find it strange that the night was rated with a green eight. Granted, it's better with a northerly wind than a southerly wind here, but the gusts are quite strong. Have been on anchor watch since the wind came at 0330.
Good holding. The anchor set quickly in place again.

Approach and maritime conditions: Hui (or Hudøy) is a large island in the Tønsberg fjord, on the west side of Tjøme. The approach is treacherous, so you must pay close attention to your GPS.
Anchoring: In Huibukta, you can moor either to the shore on the east side of Geitungholmen or to one of the two mooring buoys in the bay. Hudøy is used as a summer school, and during the summer there are restrictions on mooring or going ashore on Hudøy.
The area: Many know Hudøy as the “holiday colony island.” The holiday colony is still in operation, and in that connection, there are restrictions on going ashore on Hudøy. Check for further information elsewhere on the internet.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 7 minutes ago (Friday 31 July 11:29 PM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
