The old ferry quay is not maintained. It is now privately owned. I docked there in August with a sailboat to visit the church. However, the pier is not generally recommended. The entrance to the small boat harbor is frequently filled with sand and thus very shallow. The church from the 12th century is one of the places on the coastal pilgrimage route from Egersund to Nidaros.

Nice to take a walk to the German installations from the war. There are still cannons here and one can enter the command post. At the top of the command post you have a view over the Saltenfjord, north towards Landego and Steigen, and out towards Lofoten. You can continue from there around the entire island. Very special geology towards the north. The trip is recommended. A sand beach has also been made a bit beyond the dock.
