Beautiful island, easy to get to but feels remote. Anchoring was easy and safe!

This Marina is very close to the city center which makes it a perfect point of departure when exploring the city. However the Marina itself and immediate surroundings are not that interesting. A 10 min walk will take you to the main shopping area and restaurants.
Its worth noting that all guest berths are managed by dockspot so dont forget to book beforehand. Yet, we never got our booked berth because another boat occupied it. HamnvÀrden had limited options for finding solutions with no open berths and many guests arriving all the time. All in all a bit chaotic and not a great experience, but he did manage to find a spot for us in the end.

Marstrand is a really nice marina. It has all the facilities you need and is easy to acces. Brygga G is our favorite as it seems a bit more quiet than those closer to the Office of HamnvÀrden.
The walk around the island is a must and afterwards you will find a good selection of restaurants.
Its worth noting that week 27 is a party week in Marstrand and the party also takes place on private boats in the marina ;)

We hadnât planned a stay in Grundsund but what a pleasent surprise. HamnvĂ€rden was extremely helpful and kind.
I highly recommend âPelles bar & kökâ followed by a walk a long the water!
